With thanks to many supporters, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital is now equipped with the first robotic bronchoscope in WA. This state-of-the-art technology is now in action, revolutionizing respiratory care in the Western Australian community. The Bronchoscope is designed to support the biopsy of small, hard-to-reach nodules in the peripheral lung- offering new hope for earlier, more accurate diagnosis of lung cancer. This advanced tool empowers medical professionals to diagnose with precision, treat effectively and efficiently and provide personalised care to individuals – all enhancing outcomes and improving patient care. It’s not just a new piece of equipment—it’s a game-changer in how respiratory health is approached in WA.
